History

Hendrik Op ‘t Root is a graduate of the Eindhoven University of Technology in the Netherlands (June 1976). He passed the Master’s exam in the study of Architecture, housing and urban design at the Department of Architecture Building and Planning.

Within six years of his graduation, he established his practice and has been very successful in providing quality services to his well established clientele

Highlights of his career have been successfully assisting in obtaining the Gaming licence, by competitive design, for Casino Rama, the competition for the redevelopment of the CN Tower, to construct Dave & Buster’s in Toronto, constructing Heron Point Golf Links in Ancaster, Ontario and the renovation of an historical building, 67 Yonge Street, Toronto.

It is the objective of Hendrik Op ‘t Root Architect Ltd. to maintain a high degree of design excellence and professionalism, using current building technology in tandem with sound business principles, so that each project can proceed smoothly to a successful completion.
